Major duties:
Oversees and facilitates the administrative management for the Environmental Management Service, Independently develops, plans, issues, and implements procedures to comply with directives concerning administrative matters. The position functions as an extension of the Chief/Assistant Chief, Environmental Management Service and professional staff, as well as other service lines, in explaining service policies and assisting staff in implementing them. Provide professional and clerical advice, support and assistance to all customers with a view to accomplish the mission of Environmental Management Service and the Medical Center. Perform quality management activities, which are designed to improve quality of transaction procession, customer service activities or other procedures. Performs the full range of personnel administration for the Service with varied functions and activities. Manages budget formulation and execution for a changing budget of administrative expenses involving different funding sources. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-7 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Performs a variety of administrative functions, coordinating and monitoring the functions of administrative services within an office, developing plans, policies and procedures, assisted in planning or budgeting for a service line or department, aid in management of procurement, applied analytical techniques to resolve issues or problems. OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. of J.D. OR, Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond the first year or beyond 18 semester hours to meet the total experience requirements. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
