Health Care Information Systems at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, is recruiting a full time IT Support Consultant (Communication Consultant) for the Communication Technologies team. The position is responsible for supporting new and evolving technologies, mobility and integrating communication systems and services, working with healthcare professionals and providers.
Primary duties include supporting an integrated critical communication system (Amcom) that requires high level application support, and defining application direction to evolve with changing communication requirements. The Amcom system supports operator consoles, directory services, on-call schedules, messaging, speech recognition, and integration to other systems and mobile devices. Responsibilities also include acting as the liaison between the end user and the applications; communicating with healthcare providers, nursing and other clinical staff; and integrating new communication system or technologies into a healthcare environment. The position is also responsible for supporting ACD (automatic call distributor) and voice mail applications, call recording, radio paging and emergency notification systems. The position will have on-call responsibilities shared with other team members.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
