The Cedar Rapids Service Area is seeking a Johnson County Lead Clerical and Administrative Support Secretary to support the Johnson County office with general office operations.
Job Description:
This position serves the Johnson County office, providing customer service, administrative and secretarial support.
Duties include:
scheduling customer interviews, tracking completion of various reports, ordering supplies, and general clerical duties to support office operations.
Also enters data into a mainframe computer system, processes mail, assembles and transfers files, orders forms and supplies, answers telephones and provides back-up coverage to other county offices.
Responsible for Local Administrative Expenses, budgeting and annual audits.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong attention to detail.
Experience providing customer service.
Proven ability to multi-task.
Organization and prioritizing skills.
Ability to communicate well orally and written.

Minimum Qualification Requirements Experience equal to one year of full-time clerical or closely related work; OR post high school course work in an accredited secretarial, business, or closely related curriculum may be substituted for the required experience on a month-for-month basis; OR completion of thirty (30) semester (or equivalent) hours of undergraduate college level course work may be substituted for the one year of required experience; OR certification from the State of Iowa Administrative Assistant Certificate Program will substitute for six months of the required experience; OR employees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes permanent status as a Typist-Advanced.
