39 per hour Provides leadership and assists EVS in completion of their job duties.
Maintains a high quality standard of cleanliness and infection control.
Communicates department needs to department Director.
Demonstrates a basic understanding of the use of all supplies and equipment used in the Department and inspects equipment daily to ensure staff is maintaining them in clean condition and in good repair.
Instructs and trains EVS staff on cleaning, infection control and use of equipment, reporting needed repairs to Engineering and provides follow up to ensure completion.
Confirms daily set-up schedules are completed accurately and on-time, and handles all requests with a sense of urgency.
Adheres to hospital and department policy and procedures including cleaning and infection control guidelines.
Also, maintains a high standard of personal appearance among EVS and Patient Escort staff as required by hospital and department policy.
Required to adjust work schedule to fit the needs of the department, to include weekends and off hours Oversees personnel functions, including staffing requirements, writing, and revising job descriptions, performance appraisals, selecting and training new employees, evaluating existing, coaching and disciplinary action.
Monitors and assures that methods of cleaning and disinfecting meet department and hospital infection control policies and procedures.
Prepares procedures and monitors to ensure compliance.
Submits building inspection reports to the Director monthly.
Tours hospital daily to assure completion of duties and projects as well as interacting with staff to answer any questions.
Interprets and applies pertinent codes and standards such as OSH, TJC, and federal codes applicable to EOC (Hazardous Materials and Waste).
Maintains manifests according to rules and regulations as well as documentation related to waste management as it applies to the facility.
Maintains training and competency programs for all staff upon hire and annually.
Demonstrates administrative skills to assist Director in project management of special assignments.
Inspects assigned areas of the hospital for cleanliness and infection control and maintains of inspection results using EVS data base.
Works with Director to prioritize projects.
Assists in employee motivation training, hiring, counseling and disciplinary action, as needed.
Maintains good interpersonal communications with all patients, visitors and hospital staff to include responding to telephone calls in a professional manner Attends monthly management team meetings, workshops, and seminars as assigned by the Director.
Schedules assigned work duties to EVS and Patient Escort in a timely fashion; approves and monitors PTO requests and sick time leave to achieve adequate staffing, alerting the Director to any shortages for assistance in coverage.
Ensures all EVS Aides, Tech's, and Patient Escorts work is completed as assigned and are following assigned schedule.
Maintains accurate employee documentation and attendance recordkeeping Assumes responsibility for department in the absence of the Director.
Maintains control of supplies and their usage, noting inventory needs to the Director for follow up.
Recommends to the Director performance improvement plans and patient satisfaction initiatives in addition to implementing and enforcing departmental and hospital policies and procedures to include all state and federal regulations and TJC standards.
Recommends and drafts new and modified policies Recommends purchases, orders, and maintains efficient use of capital equipment.
Coordinates schedules and supervises cleaning contractors of medical office buildings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements Education High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience Equivalent combination and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired - required Prior experience in healthcare - minimum of 3 years experience preferred Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with staff, patients, customers and community members - required Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations - required Requires interpersonal, management, leadership, planning and organizational skills - required Ability to work with confidential employee and patient information - required .
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
