Plan and create complex designs and artwork across multiple media types in support of the Division of Student Life as well as additional university partners.
Work closely with members of the Student Life Communications team, individual stakeholders, and campus partners to produce projects including print and digital publications, social media content, apparel, unique illustrations, signage, event promotions, strategic campaigns, and large format graphics.
Provide art direction for client photography shoots as well as create learning opportunities and model leadership for design student employees.
Strong emphasis on creative thinking, as well as a problem-solving mentality while maintaining University brand standards.
Focus of work centers around Health and Wellness initiatives including Recreational Services, Student Health, Student Wellness, Counseling Service, and Student Disability Services within the Division of Student Life.

Qualifications:
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Fine Arts or equivalent combination of related education and design experience.
Experience (typically 1-3 years) in graphic design related techniques, methods and materials.
Working knowledge of Adobe creative suite including Illustrator and Photoshop with an extensive knowledge of InDesign.
Extensive knowledge of print production and file preparation.
Models open, respectful, accepting, and supportive behaviors with team members.
Experience working with high-volume design tasks that are deadline driven with a strong ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Commitment to and alignment with the values of the Division of Student Life, including a demonstrated commitment to excellence through diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications:
Working knowledge of layout as it relates to sales and marketing promotional strategies.
Working experience with photography including photo art direction and photo editing.
Knowledge and application of design as it applies to web and digital communication.
Interest or experience designing for areas of health, wellness, and well-being.
Working experience in creating and installing large format files and displays.
Working knowledge and application of automated work order systems to manage multiple, concurrent projects.
Work experience providing art direction.
