Supply Chain Coordinator - College of Dentistry The College of Dentistry is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to oversee the storeroom functions in a dental-medical facility using an electronic-based supply chain management system.
Receives, picks, and schedules deliveries of supply orders.
Receives and reconciles incoming stock and cargo freight shipments daily.
Assists in the management of substitutions for stock outs, item cost efficiency, and usage.
Assists faculty, staff, and students with information related to dental and medical products.

Responsibilities:
Inventory:
Maintains 3.
0-million-dollar supply inventory.
Maintains supply levels for the College of Dentistry Clinics and Programs to support over 300 clinical operatories and 10 laboratories.
Monitors purchase orders for fulfillment of orders.
Monitors item usage and costs to ensure buying efficiency.
Monitors supplies to avoid loss due to expiration or obsolescence.
Records and sorts deliveries to disperse to College of Dentistry clinical patient care units and non-clinical offices.
Assumes responsibility for the receipt and storage of dental and medical stock.
Verifying orders against vendor shipping authorizations and University PO's.
Arranges storeroom space, organizes, and secures all products including hazardous/flammable solutions and precious metals.
Conducts a yearly inventory audit along with periodic inventory counts to resolve inventory discrepancies.
Spot check inventory weekly, adjust as necessary to ensure accuracy of inventory database.
Manage shipments and returns as necessary.
Receives, picks and issues PReq orders and orders for walk-in customers.
Work with Purchasing to ensure item issue and cost is correct Reviews reports generated by the PeopleSoft Inventory Management System to monitor appropriate stock levels, reorder points, and stock usage for a cost-effective system, resulting in optimal patient care.
Manage all changes related to inventory items within Oracle/PeopleSoft inventory module.
Assists dispensary personnel and staff with PReq ordering system, product questions, and with order discrepancies.
Vendors:
Maintains 115 dental/medical vendor data base.
Analyze product costs across vendors to ensure best buying practice.
Communicates with supply vendors to notify of order shortages, damages, or missing shipments.
Research vendor items for cost efficiency and recommends changes.
Interact with vendors to ensure timely shipment arrival, missing items, and costs of items.
Monitors new item(s) trials and submits results to committee.
Other:
Acts as a liaison for Faculty, Staff, and Students gathering information/costs for grant use, research projects, or clinical outreach programs.
Provides and assists Faculty, Staff, and Students with dental and medical materials information.
Assists purchasing agents with match exceptions to ensure product is received and vendors are paid in a timely manner.
Review daily inventory reports for product reorder status Calculate minimum order requirements to ensure meeting external vendor ordering guidelines and to take advantage of price breaks and discounts.
Accurately utilize and maintain Microsoft Office programs to assist in inventory controls and record keeping, to track additions/deletions of inventory, delivery of product, and analyze department usage.
Respond to phone requests/questions and provide additional support in Central Dental Supply as necessary.
Uses axiUm to enter student charges.
Responsible for student employee training, work schedules, and deliveries.
Work in the Simulation Clinic dispensary as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
1 Year relevant inventory management experience including:
Experience with complex logistics planning and forecasting, FIFO/LIFO, and Basic understanding of inventory carrying costs.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Computer software experience - running reports, looking up items, etc.
Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed.
Ability to lift up to 75# occasionally, up to 50# regularly.
HIGHLY Desirable:
Experience with vendor and/or customer relationship management.
Desirable:
Experience with UI PReqs Experience in a Dental environment.
Knowledge/experience w/Dental Materials and Supplies.
Proficiency with inventory management software.
