1 Full-time 3 hours ago Full Job Description The Department of Pathology is seeking a Research Associate to perform a variety of laboratory procedures involving numerous steps and detailed techniques.
Plans research projects.
Tabulates experimental results, maintains accurate complete record of work performed, and takes an active role in the analysis of data.
Functions independently with ease and confidence.
Is able to communicate clearly and precisely, to other members of our research team and to personnel outside of our laboratory.
This position is 100% time.
Duties to include:
Performs routine laboratory reagent preparation and storage, equipment and supplies acquisition and maintenance.
Performs bacterial culture procedures Performs recombinant protein purification and biochemical procedures.
Performs procedures in the field of recombinant DNA/RNA methodology.
Assists in communication of experimental work and refining of new techniques.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in a biological science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 or more years of research experience.
Requires experience in the design, gathering, recording, and analyzing of experimental data along with the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly
Qualifications:
Experience with bacterial culture is highly desired.
Experience with protein gel electrophoresis is highly desired.
Experience with PCR, restriction digests, and DNA electrophoresis is highly desired.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with bacterial genetics is desired.
Experience with protein purification is desired.
Experience with mass spectrometry is desired.
Experience using mice in research, including mouse surgery is desired.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
